409 Status Code Explained
The request was unsuccessful due to a conflict in the state of the resource. For example, you may get a 409 error if you try to upload a file to the Web server which is older than the one already there - resulting in a version control conflict.
Why it occurs
Conflicts are likely to occur where an inappropriate alteration of the resource is being attempted.
